MSc Epidemiology students enter the program with a Primary Supervisor who is a faculty member in the Department. At the time of acceptance into the program, the Primary Supervisor will have indicated a willingness to guide the student through the entire program, including coursework and the thesis. The Primary Supervisor is also responsible for organizing funding for two years. The Primary Supervisor acts as a mentor and role model for the student and encourages the student's intellectual development and critical judgment through activities such as methodological discussions, manuscript reviews, journal reading, scholarship application preparation, etc.
