Description
The IPAC Canada Scholarship is an admission scholarship established by Queen’s University with input from IPAC Canada to provide funding support to an award recipient(s) who is newly accepted to the MPH with Specialization in Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC Specialization).

Eligibility

Must be a newly accepted student to the Master of Public Health program in either the 16-month MPH or the 12-month Accelerated MPH for Experienced Professionals, commencing September 2024

Must maintain continuous enrolment in the MPH IPAC Specialization with full-time status during the tenure of the award

Quality of communication about meaning of IPAC competencies linked to personal experiences and examples

Commencing September 2024, one $10,000 scholarship is awarded for every 15 students who are newly accepted into the MPH IPAC Specialization in an academic year, to a maximum of 10 IPAC Canada Scholarships per academic year. If fewer than 15 students are accepted into the MPH IPAC Specialization in an academic year, Queen’s is not obligated to offer the scholarship.

Students being awarded the Scholarship will be informed by May 30.

The first installment of $3,333 is granted in September; the second installment of $3,333 is granted at the end of April and after successful completion of two IPAC elective courses; the final installment of $3,334 is granted at the end of May, after the student has started an IPAC-focused practicum.

Any student who does not successfully complete all MPH IPAC Specialization requirements may be required to return any disbursed funds.
