Dr. Heather Stuart named to Order of Canada News | 2 January 2019 Submitted by phsadmin on 2 January 2019 Dr. Heather Stuart, has been named to the Order of Canada for her "commitment to advancing the mental health conversation in Canada." Dr. Stuart is the Bell Canada Chair in Mental Health and Anti-stigma Research, the first ever in Canada, as well as a Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences and the Department of Psychiatry and Rehabilitation Therapy. Dr. Stuart is also the Senior Consultant to the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Opening Minds, Anti-stigma initiative and the Chair of the World Psychiatric Association’s Stigma and Mental Health Scientific Section. Established in 1967, the Order of Canada is one of our country's highest honours, and recognizes eminent Canadians whose service shapes our society, whose innovations ignite our imaginations, and whose compassion unites our communities.
